Dr. Guenther Dobrauz-Saldapenna

Venture Capital Investor, Lawyer, Adviser, Speaker, and Author.

Guenther is a co-founding Partner of Swiss investment house exelixis capital AG, focusing on venture capital investments into pre-seed to A-round start-ups built around exponential technologies and new business models such as circularity and decentralisation for true longevity.

Before that he was for many years a Partner at PwC, leading PwC Legal Switzerland, and was a core member of the Global Legal Leadership Team. He is proud to have built up the Regulatory Law practice from only himself to around 50 people covering everything from asset management, banking, capital markets, wealth management to data protection and sustainability. He identified and built new area expertise such as blockchain law, automated legal documents, LegalTech, circular economy, and flexible legal resources. The entire legal team grew to over 80 people under his leadership.

Previously he worked for Deloitte and as Managing Partner at MTeCH LLC/ETeCH Ltd, one of the first Swiss early stage venture capital firms. He also held roles at an international hedge fund group, a leading business law firm and in court.

Guenther holds a master’s and doctorate degree in law from Johannes Kepler University (Austria), an MBA from the University of Strathclyde (Scotland) and has completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School, Harvard Law School, IMD and Singularity University.

Having authored or edited 12 books and more than 100 articles for international expert magazines, Guenther regularly speaks at conferences and advises companies on key themes of leading tomorrow such as exponential technologies, big bang disruptions, circularity and longevity and how to leverage them for business success.
